The Collaborative for Inclusive Education’s Summer Session 2025 offers two virtual, foundational trainings designed to prepare K–12 teaching staff to effectively support students with disabilities and multilingual learners. These two-hour sessions run throughout August and are available in multiple time slots to fit into schools' pre-service training schedules.
Each training strand focuses on a key area of inclusive instruction:
-
Special Education 101: Foundational Whats, Whys, & Hows (Mondays & Wednesdays, Aug 11–27, 9AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM): Covers special education law, IEP implementation, accommodations, behavioral supports, and inclusive teaching practices.
-
Supporting Multilingual Learners: What Every Teacher Needs to Know (Tuesdays & Thursdays, Aug 12–28, 9AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM): Introduces proficiency level frameworks and strategies for engaging multilingual students across all four language modalities.
Schools also receive unlimited staff access to the sessions, a leadership preview, customized analysis of staff feedback, and access to session recordings for mid-year onboarding.
